Hong Pham

Hong is currently in her sophomore year in college at the Duke Kunshan in China. Hong is a goal-driven and compassionate young woman and her actions demonstrate her full heart.

"it was an experience of love and friendship"

“In the summer of 2019, I had the opportunity to attend a mission trip in Vietnam for 7 weeks. It was my second time volunteering for Nhan Ai Compassion. Volunteering for this program is one of the best things that I have done. During this volunteer trip, I learned how to love, to be grateful for what I have and how to appreciate others. The wonderful kids that I had the opportunity to teach and spend time with were so kind and beautiful. The little things - from getting to know each other, the playful jokes, the smiles, the laughs, the hugs, and the tears - made it such a meaningful experience. It was more than teaching English; it was an experience of love and friendship. It was such a great learning experience about the people, the culture and me.”
